Themesong
Well, we've done this before, but alas for you all, I demand that we do it again. Again, I say!

I was driving today when onto the radio came a song I hadn't heard in years. And I realized...I think this is Leading Edge's themesong. Do you all agree? I present:

Living on the Edge
by Aerosmith

There's somethin' wrong with the world today
I don't know what it is
Something's wrong with our eyes

We're seeing things in a different way
And God knows it ain't His
It sure ain't no surprise

We're livin' on the Edge
We're livin' on the Edge
We're livin' on the Edge
We're livin' on the Edge

There's somethin' wrong with the world today
The light bulb's gettin' dim
There's meltdown in the sky

If you can judge a wise man
By the color of his skin
Then mister you're a better man that I

We're livin' on the Edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' on the Edge
You can't help yourself at all
Livin' on the Edge
You can't stop yourself from fallin'
Livin' on the Edge

Tell me what you think about your sit-u-a-tion
Complication - aggravation
Is getting to you

If chicken little tells you that the sky is fallin'
Even if it wasn't would you still come crawlin'
Back again?
I bet you would my friend
Again & again & again & again & again

(solo)

Tell me what you think about your sit-u-a-tion
Complication - aggravation
Is getting to you

If chicken little tells you that the sky is fallin'
Even if it was would would you still come crawlin'
Back again?
I bet you would my friend
Again & again & again & again

There's something right with the world today
And everybody knows it's wrong
But we can tell 'em no or we could let it go
But I would rather be a hanging on

Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself at all
Livin' On the Edge
You can't stop yourself from fallin'
Livin' On the Edge
Livin' On the Edge
Livin' On the Edge
Livin' On the Edge
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself at all
Livin' on the edge
You can't stop yourself from fallin'
Livin' on the edge
Livin' on the edge
You can't help yourself
You can't help yourself
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself at all
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself
You can't help yourself
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself
You can't help yourself
Livin' On the Edge
You can't help yourself from fallin'
Livin' On the Edge
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, you got to that now

You can download this song and listen to it yourself here.

Now, what I ask is that everyone comment below with their character's personal themesong (a link to download included if possible). Just one! Then we can all download the songs and create LE music mixes that will make us giggle for no obvious reason as we drive to work and other places.

Erm, or would that just be me?

Good choice. ;) When I find a themesong I'll put it up... maybe. ^_^

All right, I'll try this. I'm not sure if it'll work, but we'll see. Vanya's themesong can be found http://imarirose.livejournal.com/64671.html#cutid1

Roa's themesong is Out to Get You by James. To save comment space, you can read lyrics here.

I still need to find Zoma. I know who will do it, but not which it will be.

However, here is Miniyal's right here for the next seven days anyway. :)

With lyrics right here

She by Green Day. Sullen punk anthem. As if there are any doubts she's still a bit emotionally a teenager. ;)

J'lor's themesong is Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional. Truly, it is the sort of anguished and sincere tone of the singer that makes it work.

Lyrics can be found here.

I find this very, very hard to work out. I take a swing. Part of my problem is that Sefton has exceptionally different public and private personae.

In private -- by which I mean for Penny -- his song is without a doubt Don't Believe Me, by Picturehouse, an Irish band you have probably never heard of. If anyone's looking for something random, I cannot recommend their album Shine Box highly enough. The lyrics are here and the song can be downloaded here. It is a song about a side of Sefton that is rarely seen, although is known or guessed at by a couple. This song is, in particular, from the time when he was trying so very hard to convince Penny an affair was a terrible idea, and outlines how he feels about her.

For Sefton's public face, I have far more trouble. I have gone with Eden, by Guster. The lyrics are here and the song is here. No explanation needed -- I'm sure you can all see why.

I swear, this is Zoma's mind right here.

While this isn't D'ven's themesong, I do think it works well for the ever-shifting mix of romantic entanglements and political alliances on the game.

Few characters I've played have had a progression like Ashwin's, and one so unexpected. When I created him, his theme song was I Am A Rock, by Simon and Garfunkel. You can find the traditional version here, but to be honest, I like this one by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes a lot better.
Lyrics.

Then he found Roa, and he opened up. Now, I think I would choose Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews.
Lyrics (scroll down a bit, worth going to this link so lack of punctuation doesn't hurt your brain) or maybe Afterglow, by INXS.
Lyrics.

Actually, I am hopeless, and have a huge list, but I will not inflict them all.

Had an epiphany on these songs today as I was driving down the road. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no music on this computer and my other one is being contrary at the moment and not letting me do lots on it, so I can't post them right now. But if anybody has them and feels like doing me a favor, feel free to post them up somewhere. In the meantime, I offer lyrics:

For E'sere, when he's alone too long and starts to think about everything that's happened: Nine Inch Nails' "Right Where It Belongs". One of my two favorite songs ever. Haunting.

For E'sere and Aivey: U2's "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own." These two are so absolutely dysfunctional that I agonized over this choice, and finally settled on this one. It's perfect for them in the quiet moments.

For E'sere, a bonus song: AFI's "The Leaving Song."

For K'tric and Aida: Sting and the Police's "Every Breath You Take." Stalkery goodness, yay. ;)

For K'tric in general: Matchbox 20's "Unwell."

I could list so many of these, and I might go back and post my own listing in my LJ, at the least for E'sere. XD I'd really recommend all of these five, because they are awesome and I wish I had them all handy to post up. :(

Sinner, by Neil Finn. I'll try to snitch a copy of the track to sendspace some time soon; for now, enjoy the lyrics.

I found Min and Gans' song. Well,I was not looking for it, but when on the road I heard this and it struck me how fitting it was. Gans, of course, may disagree. ;) But he's wrong.
